Financial planning, models as code, and AI agents — from practice, not marketing.
This site exists to write down what actually happens inside FP&A work: the models, the trade-offs, the tools, and the mistakes — not vendor pitches dressed up as thought leadership.
Practice, not marketing
Every article starts from a real problem a planning team had, not from a product roadmap. When a tool appears in an example, it's named — and if it's a tool the author builds or sells, that's disclosed plainly, right where it appears.
Two ways in
Practice articles open with the problem — the tool, if any, shows up later, because the thinking is what transfers. Guides may open in the tool itself, because sometimes the fastest way to teach a technique is to just show the keystrokes. Either way, every guide is tagged by the stack it uses, so you know what you're getting before you click.
Content is git
Every article on this site is a Markdown file with frontmatter; every author is a YAML record. That means the same discipline this site argues for in financial models — diffable, reviewable, versioned — applies to the writing about them too. It's not a metaphor; it's how the repository is actually built.
